With a number of active streams flowing into the Rocky River, it is evident where Shale Creek Golf Club got its name. This Brian Huntley designed course opened in the spring of 2006 under Granite Golf Property Facilities, which also manages the notorious Quarry Golf Club in Canton, Ohio. In Tee It Up Ohio's return visit to the course it visited in 2006, we discover the location has matured a bit with the addition of a new pool and updated oasis, which have both helped to enhance the quality of this course's golf experience all around. Shale Creek's 557 yard Signature Hole 14 plays narrow and tight against the scenic Rocky River and can put golfers in a tough watery spot if not played accurately.
