Season 2009
First Aired Wed 05/13/2009 @ 9pm
This past week, Jimmy and Mike made their way down to the Cincinnati region to find out why golfers from around the world journey to the village of Batavia, Ohio, to play a round at the Elks Run Golf Club. With 163 acres of rolling hills, Elks Run is a highly sought-after championship course that is the only Greg "The Shark" Norman designed location in the Midwest. This 18-hole layout beautifully offers an assortment of elevated tees accompanied by open greens, which is something not too often found in golf courses. With no houses or subdivisions surrounding the area, the course puts full focus on golf and takes advantage of the area's natural habitat. The location provides a unique two-style game experience with traditional American link style play in the first nine and more challenging holes placed in carved hills in the back nine. Being family-owned, Elks Run has a certain added personal touch since family members are dedicated to always being on site to ensure high quality service.
